Friends of Felbridge Primary School (FoFPS)

Welcome to Friends of Felbridge Primary School, formerly known as the PTA. We are a registered charity who work to raise funds that are spent on additional items and experiences for the benefit of all children who attend the school. These funds contribute to a wide variety of items, many of which the school could not afford within their normal budget.

Most recently, FoFPS funds have provided:

  • The new trim trail play area, installed in October 2025
  • A generous contribution towards the cost of class school trips, to help keep costs as manageable as possible for parents
  • An iPad per classroom which is used in various ways to enhance education
  • All reading raffle books, which is a great scheme to motivate the children to read more frequently
  • Lighting for the school hall, to be used during school performances and plays

We raise funds via events and support from many generous local businesses via sponsorship or raffle prizes, for which we are truly grateful. We have fund-raised via quiz nights, Christmas events, fireworks/laser shows, discos, board game afternoons – the list is always growing! The popular Summer Festival is our fundraising highlight of the year, with inflatables, tombolas, class-run games and music. We try to be mindful of family budgets and work hard to make each event the best value for money experience.

We also run a second-hand uniform shop. Look out for our pre-loved uniform sales outside school at pickup, or email Friends@FelbridgeTLT.co.uk if you need something more urgently.

Can you be a Friend of Felbridge Primary School?

FoFPS are always looking for people to join the team, either in an elected role or as part of the wider group of volunteers. As a ‘Friends of’ organisation, we are not limited to parents and staff of the school only. If you are a member of the local community who is 18+ and has some time to spare, perhaps you’d like to join us. There are a multitude of roles within the charity beyond the traditional.  These are just a few examples:

  • Enabling us to sell pre-loved uniform online
  • Applying for grants to achieve even more funding
  • Working with local businesses to get sponsorship or raffle prizes
  • Running our frozen Fridays ice pops stall every sunny Friday during Summer term
  • Managing our social media presence and marketing strategy

If you’d like to make a huge difference by sharing your time or expertise, you can help us raise even more funds each year. Please do get in touch. We’d be delighted to hear from you. Experience isn’t essential, enthusiasm goes a long way!

The current elected team are: Kate White and Kelly Petch (Co-Chairs), Sarah Rodway (Secretary) and Rebecca Winsor (Treasurer), who have been in their positions since September 2023. All charities, including ours, are governed by the Charity Commission and work in line with a constitution. You can view our constitution here.

We hold our AGM in the first half of the Autumn Term each year, where you can vote us in for another year or become elected yourself, hear about the previous year’s performance, plus what is in the pipeline. Keep an eye on our noticeboard outside the school entrance to find out more about what we are up to right now.
